Rec. Res. Devel. Series
Recent Research Development Series: From 2013 on wards, all issues of the Recent Research Development Series which publish review articles, mini-reviews, letters and
proceedings in all areas of science will be brought out as open access e books as research has found a stupendous increase in the rate of both the publication
and readership in case of open access publications as compared to conventional subscription based book series/journals. This is because anyone interested in scholarly
information can now view, download, take printout and spread the information at no cost while the articles, authors and editors get wider publicity and recognition. Barriers to
dissemination of knowledge are also removed. The copyright rests with the authors.
Open Access also enables unrestricted use of knowledge for research, teaching, conference presentations and lectures. Open Access offers higher visibility and enhanced readership.
It enables the distribution of knowledge more widely, more efficiency and at a lower cost than was previously possible.
Article Processing Charges: However, Open Access publishing still has costs that need to be covered – such as proof
reading, copy editing, digital presentation and preservation, promotion and dissemination, thus the authors (or their institutions or sponsors or funders) need to pay an Article
Processing Charge to cover these costs. With regard to us, it is one of the lowest anywhere in the world and it is U.S. $28/- per page.
For Indian authors, the page charge is considerably lower, and it is Indian Rupees 200/- per page.
